The Holiday on the Green is a committee of volunteers
organized under the "Acting Recreation Committee"
​under the jurisdiction of the Topsfield Parks & Cemetery Department.

The mission of the Holiday on the Green Committee is to create a holiday event that brings together the Topsfield community, town departments, businesses, organizations, and schools.  The event is free and open to all. People involved in the event volunteer their time and talent.  We aim to have an event full  of diverse activities and entertainment for all ages.  The committee is grateful for the many community groups that participate in  making the event a success each year.

The Holiday on the Green event showcases all facets of the arts as well as celebrates long standing traditions of Topsfield. There are musicians in the streets as well as traditional holiday concerts.  We have added in the Artisan Village that will highlight artisanal foods and arts and craftsman goods.

Main Street becomes a pedestrian friendly road for the evening.  Downtown businesses open their doors for holiday open houses to enjoy treats and activities.  It's a great way to get to know our business community as well see friends and neighbors along the route. 

The Holiday on the Green Committee also focuses on beautifying the town.  Many organizations help decorate the downtown for the holiday season.  There is the much anticipated community decorated  snowmen out in front of the Topsfield Library. 

Our 2017 goal was to raise enough funds to  illuminate the trees in the downtown area.  We are continuing to illuminate more trees in 2018. If you would like to make a tax deductible donation to Holiday on the Green to support this vision.
